The Taipei Main Station is the railway station where the metro, high-speed rail and the standard rail systems converge in the city of Taipei. From here you can find a train to take you anywhere around the city, which is why many tourists seek to find accommodation near the station.

The Taipei Main Station was first opened way back in 1891, although it looks decidedly different these days. Taipei have one of the most efficient railway transport systems in the East, and with the high-speed rail, they also have one of the fastest. If you are heading for Taipei as a tourist and don’t speak the language then don’t worry, they are used to serving tourists in this city and their rail system was designed so that everyone could follow it.

The Taipei Main Station is located in the Zhongzheng district, and it services over half a million people everyday, over 300,000 of which use the metro, with less than 75,000 using the high-speed rail. If you want to book into a hotel near here then checkout the two options below, both of which are just a stone’s throw from the Taipei Main Station.
